The desire to care for others, to make a difference in people’s lives, and to promote health and wellness drove me to pursue a career in nursing. My educational journey began at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). This foundation in nursing laid the groundwork for my future endeavors. As I progressed in my career, I recognized the need for advanced education to serve my patients better. I earned my master’s degree from Walden University, which equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
I am pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Walden University. This degree will enable me to better care for my patients, contribute to policy development, continue advocating for mental health, and advance the field of nursing.
How Can I Help?
I take a collaborative and empathetic approach in my practice, listening attentively to your concerns and working together to develop tailored solutions. I aim to provide comprehensive care that addresses your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. As a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I aim to provide personalized, patient-centered care that addresses each individual’s unique mental health needs. To achieve this, I conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to inform the development of tailored treatment plans. These plans may incorporate a range of evidence-based interventions, including psychotherapy, medication management (as needed), and collaborative care coordination with our interdisciplinary team at Mind Works.
I firmly believe in empowering patients and their caregivers through education, ensuring they thoroughly understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and care plans that are individualized to their needs.
