Getting your child access to care is the first step in working towards a more stable future. Early intervention is key to allowing children and their caregivers to achieve stability, and I appreciate the investment you are making in your kiddo! I am a licensed master social worker. I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in social work from the University of Oklahoma. I grew up here in San Antonio, and following graduation, I was ready to get back to my roots! I have spent the last year gaining priceless experience with children and adolescents, aged five to seventeen, in an in-patient psychiatric acute care setting.
How I Can Help
Working as a child/adolescent therapist, I have cultivated an approach that encourages safety, compassion, empathy, and learning. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and play-based interventions using a trauma-informed care approach. In addition to individual interventions, family involvement is also utilized throughout therapeutic work.
More About Me
I moved back home to be closer to my family, and in my free time I can usually be found with them! I love getting outside, whether that be hiking, spending time at the pool, or taking my camera out for some shots of the Texas Hill Country. I also love to cook, bake, and read. I appreciate the time you have taken to get to know me, and I look forward to getting to know you and your child more as we work together!
