Elizabeth Benn

Under the supervision of Reanna Owens, LPC-S

Welcome! My name is Elizabeth Benn, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) dedicated to supporting children and their families as they navigate life’s big feelings and important stages. I began my studies at Howard Payne University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and played collegiate volleyball. I later completed my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling at Texas State University, gaining experience through internships with Communities in Schools, children’s advocacy centers, and family and children grief camps. These experiences fueled my passion for helping children feel understood, supported, and empowered. I love seeing the world through a child’s eyes—curious, creative, and full of potential—and I focus on helping kids build strong foundations of feeling confident, capable, connected, and courageous as they grow.

How can I help

I believe therapy should feel safe, warm, and welcoming—especially for children. My goal is to create a space where kids feel seen, heard, and accepted exactly as they are. In my work, I primarily use Adlerian Play Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, allowing children to express themselves through play while also helping them build practical skills for success in and out of the therapy room. I collaborate closely with families to support each child’s unique strengths, needs, and goals, guiding them toward meaningful and lasting change.

More about me

When I’m not in the therapy room, I love spending time with my family and my fur baby—a very spoiled pug. I enjoy doing pilates, reading books, trying new recipes, and playing board games. Two of my favorite ways to recharge are traveling with my husband and exploring local farmers markets.
