Edgar Garcia, LPC

Hello, I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with 7 years of experience supporting clients through healing, self-exploration, and meaningful personal growth. I believe therapy can be a powerful space for building a stronger mindset, gaining insight, and creating lasting change, and I work to help each client feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout that process.

I hold a master’s degree in clinical Rehabilitation Counseling and bring a well-rounded background in working with a variety of mental health needs. For 4 years, I worked as a child counselor, helping young clients navigate emotional and behavioral challenges with compassion and care. In addition to that work, I have 3 years of experience supporting individuals (including children, families, and adults) facing grief, trauma, substance use, anxiety, depression, and psychiatric symptoms, including hallucination-related experiences.

How I Can Help

My approach to therapy centers on creating a nonjudgmental environment where clients can freely express themselves and the difficulties they are facing. I use evidence-based, empirically supported techniques to guide clients through challenging seasons of life while helping them better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I believe meaningful conversations in therapy can lead to important shifts, whether that means changing unwanted patterns, improving coping skills, strengthening relationships, or even moving toward a new direction in life.

Above all, I am passionate about helping your child build resilience, develop insight, and feel more confident in their ability to navigate obstacles. I strive to meet clients where they are, honor their individual experiences, and support them in creating the growth and healing they want for themselves.

More About Me

In my personal life, I am an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, hiking, and nature. I have a wonderful supportive extended family that I spend most of my time with to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and family closeness. Also, it’s easy for me to spend a few hours looking to add to my Pokemon card collection that I have had since I was 11 years old.
