Angelica Ramirez

About Me

Hi! My name is Angelica! I believe every child, teen, and adult deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Howard Payne University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy from Hardin-Simmons University. Over the past four years, I have worked in a variety of clinical and nonprofit counseling settings serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I also have experience providing counseling services in a children’s home setting, supporting at-risk youth facing complex emotional, behavioral, and environmental challenges. My clinical experience includes working with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, behavioral concerns, family conflict, academic and school-related difficulties, life transitions, mood dysregulation, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, and stress-related concerns.

How I Can Help

I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate challenges, build resilience, and achieve personal growth. My therapeutic approach integrates Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and play based interventions to meet the unique needs of each client and support meaningful, lasting change. I am especially passionate about investing in children because they are our future. Through a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship, I strive to empower clients to better understand themselves, build resilience, and reach their goals.

More About Me

When I’m not counseling, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, crafting, participating in a local run club, and birding. I’m also a fan of Pokémon, Star Wars, and The Lord of the Rings. On weekends, you’ll often find me watching college football or NBA games, exploring the outdoors, or enjoying quality time with loved ones.
