Sarah De La Rosa, LCSW

Hello! My name is Sarah De La Rosa, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I received my master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2017 and obtained my clinical license in 2021. With over 8 years of experience, I have worked primarily with children, adolescents, and families in hospital and school settings. I am honored to be a part of a profession in which the main goal is to serve others and help make a positive difference in the world.

How Can I Help?

I aspire to create a safe, supportive, and caring environment in which children and families can discuss and work through various life challenges. I have worked with clients with various concerns ranging from anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, foster care, family conflict, chronic illness, life transitions, and behavioral related issues. I know that it can be difficult to discuss and process feelings and thoughts but my goal in sessions is for clients to feel heard, respected, and empowered to make positive changes that will allow them to live a healthier and happier life.

My practice is integrated with principles from modalities such as Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness- based interventions and play therapy. Nevertheless, I value the importance of continual learning and taking integrative approaches that meet the client where they are at and what is most beneficial to reaching their goals. I hope that with these interventions, clients will be able to build resilience by embracing their own individual strengths and skill sets while also developing their connections to family/support systems.

More About Me

I am originally from Corpus Christi, Texas but moved to San Antonio in 2009. Both cities have a special place in my heart, and I am proud to call both “home.” In my free time, you can find me spending time with my family, walking on nature trails, visiting animals at the zoo, trying out a new restaurant, or just simply relaxing at home.
