My name is Lindsay, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at The University of Texas at San Antonio and shortly after I obtained my Master of Science in Counseling at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. I have over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. My work experience includes working at a mental health hospital in PHP and IOP programs, working at Fleet and Family services at a Naval Air station, and also providing counseling services to children in school and home. I have worked with clients’ concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, behavioral concerns, adjustment disorders, life transition, grief and loss, self-injurious behaviors, and psychosis.
How Can I Help
My goal is to provide a safe place for children and adolescents to be able to express concerns through a person-centered approach. This is accomplished utilizing acceptance, empathy, nonjudgement, compassion, and positive regard. Therapies I provide include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused therapy, and Child Play therapy techniques.
