Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! My name is Debbie Camacho Fuentes, and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University–Kingsville and my Master’s degree from The University of Texas at Arlington, where I specialized in Mental Health and Substance Misuse. I have experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of clinical settings. My work has included supporting individuals facing trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, grief and loss, behavioral challenges, life transitions, and emotional regulation difficulties. I am passionate about helping children and teens feel safe, understood, and empowered as they build confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.
How I Can Help
My counseling approach is person-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed. I strive to create a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment where children and adolescents feel comfortable expressing themselves at their own pace. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and incorporate evidence-based strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, emotional-regulation skills, and developmentally appropriate interventions tailored to each child’s needs. I value collaboration with caregivers, families, and schools to support consistency across environments and encourage meaningful, lasting growth.
More About Me
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and being outdoors — especially hiking and enjoying nature whenever I can. I’m a big coffee lover, enjoy staying active and prioritizing fitness, and I always have a book nearby to read. I also enjoy true-crime documentaries and podcasts. At home, you’ll usually find me with my Micro Mini Goldendoodle, Novi, who keeps life fun and full of energy.
