Hello, my name is Cynthia Hathaway, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). My nursing career began in 1997 after completing undergraduate studies at both The University of Washington and Seattle University. That same year I received my commission in The United States Air Force. For 18 years I worked as a civilian and military Registered Nurse in Pediatric Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric/ Adolescent Units, and Adult Trauma prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner. After many years and deployments as a Flight Nurse with the Air Force, I received my Masters in Nursing at The University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio, TX. I retired from the Air Force Reserves in 2017. In 2018, I opened a mental health private practice in Boerne, TX, treating the adolescent and adult populations.
How I can help
I offer diagnostic mental health evaluations with evidence-based treatment plans that include medication prescribing and management as appropriate. My goal is to listen to my patients and their families while guiding the treatment process to incorporate what you value into the care plan so that the patient and family can thrive. I whole heartedly believe in the collaborative team approach which includes care planning and coordination with other professionals at Mind Works to better optimize patient outcomes. My promise is to advocate for the happiness, success, and wellness of my patients which is a journey I consider to be not only a life calling but a great honor.
