Amanda Garcia, LCSW

My name is Amanda Garcia, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I received my bachelor’s degree in social work from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2014 and my master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015. I have ten years of experience working with kids, teens and adults in a variety of settings as a social worker. I have spent the last two and a half years working as a therapist with clients from diverse backgrounds and have experience working with individuals who deal with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD and other life experiences.

How I Can Help

I love to help clients work towards building the life they want for themselves through goal setting and self advocacy. Therapy is non-judgemental, collaborative and most importantly client-led. Clients work on that’s most important to them. I work from a strengths-based perspective and draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution focused approaches.
